The National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum is proud to host the Red Earth Festival once again, one of the largest Native American cultural celebrations and art markets in the nation. Celebrating its 38th year, the Red Earth Festival is a three-day, multi-faceted celebration of Native art and culture. The Red Earth Festival includes a juried art market featuring both traditional and contemporary works, including painting, sculpture, basketry, beadwork, jewelry, pottery, and attire by some of the most celebrated Native artists working today. Native dance presentations, musical performances, awards presentations, artist demonstrations, and lectures are also mainstays of the three-day celebration. Known as one of the largest festivals of its kind, Red Earth annually attracts individuals worldwide, including tribal members from more than 100 different Native American tribes. Though usually held in June each year, the Red Earth Festival is being moved to spring, so be sure to mark your calendars. Don’t miss this one-of-a-kind celebration! |
